\nBetween palm leaves, summer whispers layer upon layer.<\/p>\n
Neither the journey nor time has taken a rest.
\nHurrying forward\u2014by train, or on foot\u2014
\nThe luggage brims with echoes of earlier days,
\nAs I step through spring, autumn, winter, and summer.<\/p>\n
In the flicker of coming and going, sparks flare for a moment\u2014
\nPages turn at corners, corners turn like pages.
\nSome memories never belonged\u00a0to the faraway,
\nSome remnants never belonged\u00a0to the past.<\/p>\n
In a fleeting glance, they are merely passersby\u2014
