{"id":2201,"date":"2025-11-22T06:55:27","date_gmt":"2025-11-21T22:55:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.kpoem.com\/?p=2201"},"modified":"2025-11-24T06:57:20","modified_gmt":"2025-11-23T22:57:20","slug":"the-last-maldives","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.kpoem.com\/en\/2025\/11\/22\/the-last-maldives\/","title":{"rendered":"The Last Maldives"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The gentle little shark kisses me,<br \/>\nA\u00a0first meeting, yet also a return.<br \/>\nWill I remember that jelly sea?<br \/>\nAt least this moment immersion outweight memory.<\/p>\n<p>I lie upon the ocean floor,<br \/>\nturning the heavy manuscript.<br \/>\nBorn of me, yet to the world it belongs,<br \/>\nresting beside me where silence prolongs.<\/p>\n<p>The sun leaves too hastily,<br \/>\nrising for another sea,<br \/>\nNever considering\u00a0my longing\u2014<br \/>\na drop of time slides to the palm\u2019s edge.<\/p>\n<p>Beneath a sky where wild daisies bloom,<br \/>\nviolet clouds spread open,<br \/>\nrose-powder falls upon the sea\u00a0face\u2014<br \/>\nthe wine\u2019s source has lost it place.<\/p>\n<p>Someone dives in the dusk-lit waves,<br \/>\nmy years rise and sink in the wine,<br \/>\nRecalling the first stage-fright decades ago,<br \/>\npaving the way for life\u2019s glow.<\/p>\n<p>Through the twilight haze the swing sways slowly\u2014<br \/>\nI pretend I am still young.<br \/>\nA group of children flashes by, laughing,<br \/>\ntangling time, pulling at the night.<\/p>\n<p>The Milky Way holds no evening star,<br \/>\nyet feels more complete than possession itself.<br \/>\nNight\u2019s fine dust falls on my shirt<br \/>\nas I breathe in rhythm with the tide.<\/p>\n<p>The tide retreats, taking\u00a0me to distant clouds,<br \/>\nThe tide returns, bringing me back\u00a0after memories has gone.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The gentle little shark kisses me, A\u00a0first meeting, yet also a return.
