Stubbornly defying the rhythm of the waves<\/p>\n
A self-important performance<\/p>\n
Once I thought those lines were so graceful<\/p>\n

Not a perfect form within the blue<\/p>\n
Merely a strand of seaweed, ever entangled<\/p>\n
In the capricious waves<\/p>\n
At least beneath the inescapable sea<\/p>\n
Clownfish thanked me for my shelter<\/p>\n
Spotted seals murmured their goodnights<\/p>\n
Green turtles guarded the hope of new life<\/p>\n
Now I only wish to shed this dusty label<\/p>\n
To grumble, to resist, or to soften like smoke<\/p>\n
Overlapping shadows marked the moment of fulfilment<\/p>\n
I only wish that each assassination by the tide<\/p>\n
Would silently clasp every grain of sand<\/p>\n
A fleeting instant, yet an eternity<\/p>\n
